Historic Grand Prix

Back in 2009 the Historic Grand Prix racing series made a stop at Lime Rock Park.  The series is made up of over 50 Owner-Drivers of authentic Vintage Formula One racing cars from the FIA 3-liter Formula that ran from 1966-1983.   It was a chance to get a close look  at some incredible racing machines.  From the Tyrrell 002, Lotus79, McLaren M23, and the Williams FW08, just to name a few, you had racing history pass before your eyes.  There is nothing like the sound of a Cosworth V8 flying around the track.  If you missed the show don’t worry because there is a number of galleries in the Race Car - Open Wheel section for you to look through.  Plenty of reference material for building a highly detailed model of one of these great cars.
If you live anywhere near Lime Rock Park you have another chance to see the Historic Grand Prix.  They will return to the track as part of the 2012 Fall Vintage Festival that runs from August 31 - September 3rd.  See you their.
